Classic Texture Applications

Commonly referred to as “texture deck” classic texture is a hand-trowel textured application that can be applied on any concrete surface after the concrete is correctly prepared for the application. Depending on the condition of your concrete, the amount of concrete to coat, pattern, and color effects, classic texture is the most cost-effective way of enhancing your concrete.

Squeegee coat - A thin coating that is applied using a squeegee over concrete often used as the base coat for classic texture and stamp overlay applications. Also commonly used as a coating for garage floors with multi-spec and/or patterned and sealed similar to a garage epoxy coating.

Steeple coat - A bumpy textured surface applied after the squeegee [or first texture] coat with a hopper gun and finished with/without a pattern, and either color sealed or with multi-specs. This is not a hand trowel finish, usually applied to driveways!

Multi-spec - After the application of steeple or classic texture color seal, the multi-spec is a way of adding multiple colors in a spread fashion to enhance the finish. Commonly referred to as an “aggregate effect,” multi-spec is usually chosen for driveways or walkways or areas that have a high amount of debris or traffic.
